MiFID II is a revision of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive first implemented in 2007, and is now being revised in 2018 to include more legislation for financial services firms. Addressing MiFID II is a massive data integration effort but unfortunately most financial services firms have huge data silo problems. If they could effectively get a 360 view of data and implement a robust data governance strategy, regulatory reporting would be a breeze, yet most organization fail to realise this panacea. This session looks at how financial services firms can leverage MarkLogic to build a capability to deliver key reporting initiatives, rather than the traditional “let’s just add another silo” approach to address every new piece of regulation.
