Internet-of-Things (IoT) – both industrial and commercial – requires more stringent demands on power supplies than past applications. This presentation will introduce three major areas of concern – load disconnect circuits, sensor power sensitivity, and surge and power-fail protection - and what can be done to improve them.
The three key things we’ll take about today in power considerations for the IIOT and IoT include:
- Load Disconnect Circuits (e.g., boost converters)
- Sensor Power Sensitivity (e.g., converters, MOSFETs and Flybacks/ LDO and SMPS)
- Surge and Power-Fail Protection (e.g., SMPS and eFuse)
